This piece pays homage to Sila’s Cypriot heritage and is inspired by her trips to Northern Cyprus. In Cyprus, you cannot escape the jagged mountainous landscape surrounded by the Mediterranean sea; it is a beauty that is natural and nostalgic. The geometric form of the artwork is inspired by the shape of the Kyrenia mountains, while the battuto hammered carving evokes the movement of the sea.
