Prairie was partly inspired by an urge to combine the best aspects of two very successful series: Ebb Tide and Mirage. Ebb Tide was a dark, moody seascape, while Mirage explored the movement and colours of the shifting sands in the dunes around Petra. With continuing input from my wonderful team I have been able to achieve a range of gorgeous earth tones that merge with dark, almost ethereal skies and at best convey the boundless expanse of the prairie.
