Nina's inspiration comes from cycles of nature that she associates with glass because she believes the material goes through a cycle and is at it's most alive when it’s hot and being transformed. In this recent body of work, she uses kiln casting for the main technique to make the texture pattern, then hot manipulation for the organic shape and hand engraving for the cold work finishing.
