My original waves, inspired by Hokusai’s Great Wave, attempted to convey in glass the colour and the frozen moment that is captured in his great work. Equally in my new versions, which are more muted and translucent in colouring and broader in their barrel-like form, I continue to strive to express the essence of waves in cresting motion.
