A recent graduate with a Masters in Ceramics and Glass from the Royal College of Art, Lola creates sculptures and photograms that explore light transmission through material and image. Lola’s work explores our deep connection with light and shade. Using clear or delicately coloured glass in conjunction with formal elements such as thickness, curvature and surface tension, she sculpts negative space.
Aspects such as density and light transmission are products of the creative process of transformation, of the way we ascribe meaning to material, and reflect on the nuances of material qualities.
