Solstice Clovis

Summer Clovis is part of James’ Clovis Collection, which involved extensive experiments to literally chip hot glass like stone. After perfecting this unusual technique, James produces breathtaking results; monolithic objects with smooth lines that are juxtaposed with fractured edges. Creating these pieces in subtle tones places the focus on the texture and form of each artwork. Summer Clovis reflects upon the Neolithic stone monuments constructed in reverence to the Summer Solstice.
